As it’s been a few weeks since we built the bird table and feed holder I thought I’d give you an update on how they’re going.

For the first day nothing came anyway near it, then on the next day a sparrow kept flying towards but flying away, and on the third day we had activity! It started with a blue tit on the peanuts, then a blackbird on the table, and then before we knew it we were overrun.

It’s been non-stop ever since, with mostly blue tits, great tits and coal tits on the peanut feeder and sometimes on the seeds and table. I’ve counted at least 7 tits all together at one time.

The blackbirds and robins only ever come on to the table and the sparrows arrive in a flock and go between them all.

It’s fantastic to look out of the kitchen window and watch all of the activity.
